A beautiful, delicate St Brigid's cross pendant measuring 3cm x 3cm and with an 18" chain. Often referred to as Brigid's cross, Brighid's cross or Brigit's cross or in Irish, Cros Bride, Crosóg Bríde or Bogha Bríde. Not recorded before the 17th century, this is an Irish symbol and is usually made on 1st February from rushes or straw and comprises a woven square in the centre and four radials tied at the ends. Brigid's crosses are associated with Brigid of Kildare, who is venerated as one of the patron saints of Ireland. So you see this lovely pewter and silver pendant would make a perfect Irish gift.
