It was the Celtic druids who started the shamrock on its path to Irish glory. They believed the no. 3 to be a perfect number and, as such, to have inherent mystical powers. No one is quite sure why they believed this but it is possible the number signified totality, ie. past, present and future, or sky, earth and underground.
Carefully welded by Kieran Cunningham at his studio in Blessington, Co Wicklow, this Shamrock hair pin could bring you good luck and would make the perfect Irish gift.
Made from silver plate, brass and copper, the Shamrock measures 2.5" x 2" (6.5cmx5cm) and the pin is 4" (9cm).
