Hand crafted from a single piece of Irish Blackthorn wood which has been seasoned for at least 2 years, this is a root handle blackthorn stick, very strong and robust. These beautiful, traditionally made Blackthorn walking sticks are cut from the hedge in County Cork, they are then left to mature and dry until as hard as iron. With a smooth polished handle for comfort they are painted black, for looks as well as practicality, just leaving the handle natural. Then they are tipped with copper and varnished for a very long life. Each one is individual - after all each Blackthorn tree is an original. These wonderful walking sticks would also make a great gift for a loved one or just for a walking companion for yourself. Approximate length 36.5" - 38" (93-97cm).

Very quick service, good communication and an excellent product. Interestingly I live in the UK and it is cheaper to purchase a new one through Irish Inspirations than a second hand one from EBay - the postage is also about half the price .
Rubber on the bottom of the stick would have help not very save on payments

Spotted the Blackthorn walking stick in quite a number of sites, but Irish Inspirations had better pictures and description, so went for them. Wanting to make sure that they had what I really required made phone call to enquire, couldn't have been more helpful if they tried, I needed a specific size of stick and they came up trumps. They even e-mailed to say a wee delay in the delivery time due to a missed pick up collection. Great service !!.
