The colour of this sweater is another that reflects so well its true Irish nature. It is such a warm, rich and deep brown that we've called it peat because it reminds us so much of the famous Irish peat bogs, where the turf is still cut to be burned in many an Irish home. The wool has little flecks of rustic orange and green.

My wife gave me my first Donegal roll neck the Christmas before last. It is still going strong and has been joined by two others. I love the quality of the wool, the flecked colours and the relaxed styling. You can pull it on anytime. It is warm, but not so heavy that you can't slip on a jacket over it. It's not just for a winter. As the sun goes down in spring and summer I slip it on to hang round outside a bit longer.
The Donegal Roll Neck Sweater I purchased is beautifully crafted and obviously made With great care. I look forward to enjoying it for years to come!
We are very pleased with our Donegal jumpers. The cardigan is my favourite at the moment. They seem to wash well and they are warm but light to wear.

I bought 2 roll top pullovers a couple of years ago - online - to replace a much-loved one I had been given as a present some years before, sadly only now fit for gardening. I have now just stocked up with two more: it's my favourite easy and comfortable style. I like most of the range of colours, and the quality of wool and manufacture seems to me excellent. The following measurements, of these unisex sweaters, are actual garment measurements and have been taken with the garment laid flat. This is an ideal way of making comparisons with other garments in your possession. However, because of the nature of the hand looming process, these measurements may not be absolutely exact.
The chest measurement figures below are for half of the chest measurement, ie. with the garment laid flat, it has been measured across the front only, from one armpit across to the other so that a measurement of 20" means the garment measures approximately 40" around all of the chest.
