Eddie Doherty is a rarity. He is one of the few remaining traditional handweavers.
From Ardara in Donegal, North West Ireland, he produces these beautiful handwoven tweed throws. Woven from pure new wool, the colors soft and natural inspired by the fabulous Donegal landscape. This is great home furnishing! Wonderful accessories, cosy and warm, weighty too, perfect for laying over sofas and chairs or as bed covers. They are a good size also. Produced on an ancient loom, housed next door to his family pub, each measures four feet six inches(138cms) wide and six feet three inches(190cms) long and all the knots are hand tied.
