Traditional Irish Blackthorn Walking Sticks

Hand crafted from a single piece of Irish Blackthorn wood which has been seasoned for at least 2 years, this is a root handle blackthorn stick, very strong and robust. These beautiful, traditionally made Blackthorn walking sticks are cut from the hedge in County Cork, they are then left to mature and dry until as hard as iron. With a smooth polished handle for comfort they are painted black, for looks as well as practicality, just leaving the handle natural. Then they are tipped with copper and varnished for a very long life. Each one is individual - after all each Blackthorn tree is an original.
