Bushmills Irish Whiskey is produced in what is claimed to be the "Worlds Oldest Whiskey Distillery" in the town of Bushmills in Co. Antrim, Ireland. On April 20th 1608 a seven year licence to distil was granted to the distillery!

The Watts distillery dates back to 1762 and had a proud tradition of producing good whiskies. Tyrconnell was their flagship brand which was a best seller in the United States before Prohibition and is named after a very successful racehorse owned by the Watt family. Jameson's..still one of the most famous of Irish Whiskey brands. John Jameson founded his whiskey distillery in Dublin in the year 1780. He began to produce this very famous Three Star Irish whisky in 1891and this advertisement is from the turn of the last century complete with glass, clay pipe and playing cards. A wonderful piece of old Jameson merchandise.

Begorra it's Cowans Finest Old Irish Whisky! A long gone old Irish Whisky label Cowans was produced in Belfast.

Although still producing whiskey today at Midleton, Cork, this old Cork Distillers ad dates back to a much earlier time.

Colraine Irish Whiskey said to be the oldest malt whiskey in Ireland. Produced in Colraine on the River Bann. Though the town's ancient distillery has been merged with Bushmills, a small amount of this pale grain whiskey is still produced for local consumption. Mixed with four volumes of boiling water, cloves, cinnamon and a touch of sugar, it is recommended as a specific against winter's ills.
