Handwoven by John J Murphy in Kerry using a wonderful mixture of natural materials, cotton and linen give these Irish scarves such a unique texture and feel. Eddie Doherty Handwoven Tweed Throws

Eddie Doherty is a rarity. He is one of the few remaining traditional handweavers.

From Ardara in Donegal, North West Ireland, he produces these beautiful handwoven tweed throws. Woven from pure new wool, the colors are soft and natural, inspired by the fabulous Donegal landscape. This is great Irish home furnishing! Wonderful accessories, cosy and warm, weighty too, perfect for laying over sofas and chairs or as bed covers. They are a good size also. Produced on an ancient loom, housed next door to his family pub, each measures four feet six inches(138cms) wide and six feet three inches(190cms) long. A fine example of the hand-made Irish crafts and gifts we have for you.
